At the end of 2019, California law was expanded to require sexual harassment training for company employees of all levels. By design, this training is designed to inform teams about updated parameters and boundaries that are considered work appropriate. This was all in an effort to cut down on discrimination as it occurs in the workplace. Additionally, supervisors are also now required to take two more hours of training compared to other employees. If and when a promotion occurred within the company, these 2 additional hours of training must occur within six months of the position change and again every two years after.
Liability of sexual harassment suits has also changed under California and federal law – as an employer your liability now extends to actions taken by supervisors as well as all employees. Therefore, this type of training is a necessary precaution against risk of legal action. It’s therefore important for employers to emphasize these regulations as it pertains to the potential legal ramifications as well as to improve company culture and morale. The first step to doing so is to contact Bridge Safety Consultants today or schedule a class online. Our services are like no other in that we engage employees through comedy and relatability. Despite its informal nature, our training is completely compliant with state and federal regulating bodies. Our approach is to inform rather than to warn, to demonstrate rather than lecture, and engage our audience through direct question and answer both in a physical setting and through online learning. Richard's training was once again fantastic! He really does an excellent job of keeping the group engaged throughout the training. I'm always amazed at how many compliments I get on the training after. In fact, our CEO joined the first training on Tuesday 9/15 just to compliment Richard on his presentation and how much he got out of it last year. Thank you again!
Your training was the best we have ever had - on any topic! It's because the trainer kept people engaged and interested, and they learned much more than usual.
Thank You Richard for your amazing job! You make us laugh, learn and be proactive! Thank you again.
I have received many compliments about the sexual harassment training. The trainers were very entertaining and the employees appreciated that they provided the training in both English and Spanish. Your live training was a lot more enjoyable than virtual training.
Richard was excellent! He was engaging, informative and entertaining. Following the training multiple employees came to me to share their positive feedback. Many have completed SH training's at prior companies and have never had a better way of delivery. We will absolutely be using your team again for future training's.
